Appointments strengthen growth strategy, corporate governance and medical device expertise to the 100% employee-owned testing company
SAN JOSE, Calif., November 2, 2026— WESTPAK, Inc., a 100% employee-owned provider of package testing and validation services, announced the appointment of Ameeta Soni and Lilli Zakarija as independent directors to its Board of Directors.

Their perspectives will help us build on the trust our clients place in us and create lasting value for our employee owners.”
Soni is an experienced public and private company director, former CEO, CMO, founder and strategist. Her expertise spans governance, value creation, risk oversight, AI and digital transformation, and growth strategy. She has worked with public, private equity-backed, venture-backed, founder-led and employee-owned companies.
Her board experience includes service on Esker SA’s Supervisory Board, Audit Committee and ESG Committee, where she helped oversee governance and shareholder interests through its acquisition by Bridgepoint and General Atlantic. She also advises CEOs, boards and investors and serves as an interim executive across technology, healthcare, industrial and professional services businesses.

Zakarija is co-founder and president of EdgeOne Medical, with more than 25 years of experience in medical devices and combination products. At Baxter Healthcare, she built and led the BioScience division’s global engineering function for those products. Her experience spans product development, commercialization and technical strategy. She has also served on the national board of Women In Bio.

The appointments come as WESTPAK marks its 40th anniversary and expands testing capacity and national presence. Recent investments to support a broader range of client projects include new equipment at their California laboratories and the upcoming opening of a new laboratory in Massachusetts.
