Seventy-five guests and the entire San Jose staff had a fine time at the Westpak San Jose Laboratory’s Spring Open House. Everyone enjoyed peer-to-Open House2peer interaction, delicious middle-eastern lunch choices, and special guest Karen Polkinghorne of DuPont™ addressing Tyvek® Medical Transition Project questions as part of a moderated panel discussion.

Open House1Karen’s presentation was followed by a Q&A session that included questions such as:

“Do I need to re-validate my packaging with the new material?”

“My company is almost ready to submit to our notified body. Do you have any tips?”

“How long will DuPont™’s ‘Are-You-Ready’ website containing data and links be available?”

A raffle drawing was held with four guests named as winners! Prizes included a $100 gift certificate to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, a $50 donation to a charitable organization of the winner’s choice, and two pairs of movie tickets.

Open House Raffle DonationThe charitable organization chosen to receive the $50 donation was Heritage Home in San Jose.

In addition to Karen’s presentation, two other welcomed guests hosted booths at the Open House. Westpak showcased two valuable community partners Parents Helping Parents and Bay Area Science Festival. We were thrilled to have these partners involved and promoting their initiatives within our community.

Overall, the San Jose Laboratory’s Open House was a great success and we thank all of our attendees for coming!
